I wanted to ask for some prayers for a classmate of mine as he has just found out about a very difficult challenge his family is faced with. His three year old daughter was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called Wilm’s Tumor. Here is a link to the condition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilms%27_tumor. Reece is the daughter’s name. Her tumor is 14 centimeters and they are removing it and a kidney today. Please lift up her and the family in prayer. Thank you!

- Psalm 127:3-5 “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them!” Our life used to be pretty normal. We met in 7th grade, started dating in high school, survived the college years and got married in June of ’99, shortly after graduation. We had a daughter, travelled as much as we could, planned on getting a dog, went to football games on Saturday and church on Sunday, and by the time we hit our thirties, we were well on our way to having the typical American life. Then came Mother’s Day 2008 and though we weren’t aware of it at the time, everything in our lives was about to change. Psalm 127:3-5 started the day off and by the time it had ended, we had decided to try for another baby. One more would have been great; twins would fulfill a dream of ours…but ready or not, here come the Jones QUINTUPLETS!!

Have them go to http://www.caringbridge.org/ and sign up for a website. It is free and will give them an easy way to update friends and family as well as a place to request specific prayers for the current needs they have. I set one up for my son and find it a great help in keeping everyone informed with out having to make so many calls and return tons of e-mails. The link is below:
Jeff Castelaz started a foundation in memory of his son who had the same type of cancer. He actually just rode through Austin on a cross-country bike ride to raise money for pediatric cancer.
